1. About Vanguard

Vanguard Asset Recovery LLC ("Vanguard") is a private recovery service. Vanguard is not a government agency and is not affiliated with the State of California or any other government agency.

2. Services

Vanguard assists with unclaimed-property research, claimant and heir follow-up, and related claim-support steps. Whether property exists, whether a person is eligible to claim it, and whether a claim is approved are determined by the applicable government agency or property holder, not by this website.

3. Fees and the Free State Option

  • No upfront recovery fee: Vanguard does not charge an upfront fee for its recovery service.
  • California fee limit: For California unclaimed-property matters, Vanguard's investigator fee will not exceed 10% of the recovered property value.
  • Direct claim option: You may pursue California unclaimed property directly through the state at no cost.
  • Written agreement: Any paid recovery engagement is subject to the written agreement provided for that matter.

4. Information You Provide

You agree that information you provide to Vanguard will be accurate to the best of your knowledge. The public website form and chat are for basic contact and case-reference information only. Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank information, passwords, full identification-document numbers, or sensitive documents through the public website.

5. No Legal Advice

Vanguard is not a law firm, and website content, chatbot responses, and communications from Vanguard are not legal advice. If a matter requires legal advice, you should consult a qualified attorney.

6. No Guarantee of Recovery

Vanguard does not guarantee that property exists, that a person is eligible to claim property, that a claim will be approved, or that a specific amount will be recovered. Processing times and final decisions may depend on government agencies, property holders, documentation, and other circumstances outside Vanguard's control.

7. Website Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue website features when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, compliance, or business operations. We do not guarantee uninterrupted website or chatbot availability.
